Job description

Job Details:

Work Shift B - 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., with a rotating schedule, always off Sundays

You must have 1 year of mechanical maintenance work experience and 6 months of work history with 1 employer within the past 2 years.

PROVIDE YOUR OWN TOOLS. A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.

Description

This position involves maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, ensuring safety and adherence to Tyson policies.

Tasks
  • Must have a current valid State driver’s license.
  • Supply your own tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools.
  • Require minimum 1 year of mechanical or maintenance experience, including PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, tire repairs, brake repairs on semi-trucks and trailers, and operating cutting torches and electric welders.
  • May perform air brake, electrical, and air conditioning work.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, and working in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand assignments, communicate effectively, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.

Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days and no more than 3 times worked at Tyson.
