Job description

Land O'Lakes Maintenance Technician II

Shift: 2nd shift, 3:00PM to 11:30PM

Pay: $31.90 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

Position Purpose

This role supports our Purina Animal Nutrition business, helping local cooperatives, independent dealers, and large retailers serve producers and animal owners across the U.S. We focus on industry-leading R&D and partnerships to innovate nutrition products that promote healthier, more productive animals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair facility and production equipment.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility through troubleshooting and repairs.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Commitment to safety and physical safety of oneself and others.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Ability to inspect machinery, diagnose faults, and perform repairs.
• Experience writing technical reports for non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with performing routine maintenance on machinery.
• Reliable time management and punctuality.
• Ability to read, write, understand instructions, and perform basic math.
• Good coordination and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Work while wearing PPE.
• Ability to work in various temperature zones, including cold and hot environments.
• Shift work including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
