Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Glen Allen, Virginia is hiring for a Maintenance Technician role. Maintain safe, smooth-running property and grounds while performing repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.

You will develop safety programs, document work, and train fellow team members to ensure top-notch guest experiences. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to respond to emergencies with a flexible schedule and a strong service

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across hotel facilities.
• Ability to perform repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
• Experience training team members and delegating maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety, ergonomic and injury-prevention regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance across property areas.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks.
• Develop and monitor safety programs and compliance with regulations.
• Keep detailed records and reports of maintenance work.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule department needs.
• Deliver courteous, guest-focused service with a +1 attitude.

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance for all areas of the property.

• Enjoy a variety of plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC system repairs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention.

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance

• Capacity to provide ongoing training for Maintenance Tech I team members

• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations

• Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure work and safety compliance with ergonomic, emergency-response, and injury-prevention regulations

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair, and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs

The pay range is

$25.11 - $49.15

The starting wage may be above the minimum rate, based on relevant experience, skills, and education.
