Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Denver, Colorado is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our property safe and well-maintained. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance to ensure a superior guest experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across multiple systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC.
• Ability to dismantle equipment to repair or replace defective components.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration, and pool mechanics.
• Experience implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs.
• General building maintenance including minor electrical repair and plumbing.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety and compliance programs: ergonomic, emergency response, injury prevention.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience through courteous, friendly service.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairsand preventative maintenanceon a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipmentand HVAC

• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair

• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention

• Keep detailed records and reports

• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members

• We seek self-motivated, organized team members with the ability to demonstrate or be trained to be able to perform the following:

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance

• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality

• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance

• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensurea safe and well-maintained hotel

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Ability to troubleshoot andrepair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
