Job summary

Chuze Fitness is hiring a Maintenance Technician to ensure safety, functionality, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and collaboration across departments.

You’ll work with CMMS and BMS/EMS systems and travel within the district to support multiple clubs. We seek candidates with 7+ years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing trades, CMMS experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a mechanical, electrical or plumbing trade as journeyman or building engineer.
• Experience with CMMS and BMS/EMS control systems.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, lighting and plumbing systems.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Team-based mentality with strong communication and time management.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; travel within the district.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fitness equipment and facilities.
• Use CMMS to run reports, manage work orders, and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain BMS/EMS control systems monitoring and facility operations.
• Collaborate with facilities team and other departments to service spaces.
• Identify critical repairs to minimize member experience disruptions.
• Travel within market for group trainings and club support as needed.
• Handle administrative tasks and inventory as required.
• Review pricing and oversee outsourcing of complex projects.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of all equipment.

Your New Role

Pay Range: $31.23 - $39.03 / hour; based on experience.

Hours: Normal business hours Monday - Friday with the ability to work occasional weekends or off-hours, if needed.

Responsibilities

Our Maintenance Technicians are crucial at Chuze Fitness. They ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities, directly impacting member experience and operational success. You'll handle preventive maintenance, perform repairs on fitness equipment, and collaborate with your facilities team and across departments.

• Proactively seek opportunities for development by completing all training materials and implementing feedback from leadership coaching
• Establish and maintain cross-departmental communication to remain up-to-date on repair and replacement needs in customer-facing spaces and facility infrastructure
• Work within a CMMS to run reports, monitor and complete work orders, and receive service requests for in-house duties and outsourced contractor services
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify service needs, ensuring work is performed promptly and prioritizing the most critical repairs to minimize member experience disruptions when possible
• Maintain working knowledge of commercial HVAC, Electrical, Lighting and Plumbing systems
• Travel within the market to participate in group training sessions, routine department meetings, and provide support to clubs beyond the home club, as needed
• Complete administrative tasks promptly, including email management and communication and assist in maintaining inventory counts as needed
• Utilize Building Management System (BMS)/Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) control systems to review property operations and identify the needs of the facility
• Oversee the outsourcing process of more complex projects by reviewing pricing and approving work completed by contractors

Requirements

Your Skills:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trade, as a journeyman, or building engineer (may be supplemented with technical school education)
• Previous experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Understanding of Building Management System (BMS) / Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) control systems
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, Electrical, Lighting and Plumbing systems
• Excellent analytical problem-solving
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Team-based mentality with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, with regular ability to visit clubs across the assigned district (subject to ADA accommodation)

Physical Abilities

• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed
• Ability to work in a loud environment, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, and grease/oil
