Job summary

Chuze Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safety, functionality, and cleanliness of gym equipment and facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair fitness equipment, and collaborate with the facilities team and other departments to support member experience.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a maintenance-related role, strong mechanical knowledge, CMMS experience, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or related role.
  • Previous experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Proficient mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain fitness facility equipment and systems.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Team-based mentality with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, with regular ability to visit clubs across the assigned district.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cross-departmental communication to stay up-to-date on repair and replacement needs in customer-facing spaces and facility infrastructure.
  • Work within a CMMS to manage work orders for in-house duties and outsourced services.
  • Coordinate outsourced projects by reviewing pricing and approving contracted jobs.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance, identify repair needs and prioritize critical repairs to minimize disruptions to members.
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment and maintain the Maintenance Log.
  • Maintain inventory counts and order new equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Travel within the market to participate in training, meetings, and provide support.
  • Demonstrate Chuze Kindness while on gym floor or in member-facing areas.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including email management and communication.

Your New Role


Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.94 - $27.30 / hour; based on experience.



Hours

Hours: Normal business hours Monday - Friday with the ability to work occasional weekends or off-hours, if needed.



Responsibilities

Our Maintenance Technicians are crucial at Chuze Fitness. They ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities, directly impacting member experience and operational success. You'll handle preventive maintenance, perform repairs on fitness equipment, and collaborate with your facilities team and across departments.




  • Maintain cross-departmental communication to remain up-to-date on repair and replacement needs in customer-facing spaces and facility infrastructure

  • Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders for both in-house duties and outsourced contractor services

  • Coordinate outsourced projects by reviewing pricing and approving contracted jobs

  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance, identifying repair and service needs and prioritize the most critical repairs to minimize disruptions to members wherever possible

  • Assist in performing repairs and maintenance of equipment and maintain the Maintenance Log

  • Maintain an overview of inventory counts and order new equipment and supplies as needed

  • Travel within the market to participate in training sessions, department meetings, and provide support, as needed

  • Chuze Kindness while completing assignments on the gym floor or other member-facing areas

  • Complete administrative tasks promptly, including email management and communication

Requirements

Your Skills:



  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or related role

  • Previous experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Proficient mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain fitness facility equipment and systems

Preferences


  • Previous experience working with a Building Management System (BMS)/Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) control systems

  • Technical school graduate or attendee



Physical Abilities


  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English

  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment

  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed

  • Ability to work in a loud environment, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, and grease/oil
