Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations is a leading North American manufacturer of exterior building products. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment, with responsibility for electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, while upholding safety and reliability standards.

The role requires self-direction, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboration with planners and technicians to ensure optimal plant performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and perform basic failure analysis.
  • Understanding of electronic components to troubleshoot and repair.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Experience in industrial electrician/maintenance preferred (5 years).

Responsibilities

  • Perform self-directed reactive and planned maintenance across the facility, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and facility systems; identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and systems to NFPA/NEC standards.
  • Assist lower-level technicians and lead small teams as needed.
  • Set up and operate multiple machining operations and handle parts fabrication or repair.
