Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform a broad range of upkeep tasks across properties. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and perform unit make-readies for leasing, reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in property maintenance, a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and be prepared to obtain OSHA 10, EPA, and CPO

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in property maintenance or related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience following safety regulations and building codes.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks including basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Complete unit make-readies and prep vacant units for leasing, including move-out inspections, key changes, painting, and deep cleaning.
• Assist in managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
