Job summary

Prospera Community Housing in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform a broad range of mid-level maintenance tasks across our properties. The role requires independence as well as team collaboration to keep buildings in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, preventative maintenance, unit make-readies, safety compliance, and coordination with external contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of property maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification within 90 days; EPA/CPO as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure safety regulations and building codes compliance.
• Complete unit make-readies for leasing; inspect move-outs.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized work.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
