Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Ledgewood Village, a 180-unit affordable housing community located in Asheville, NC. The role requires diagnosing and repairing appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and on-call duties for 1 week on, 2 weeks off.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of relevant work experience, be able to work with diverse residents, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC knowledge.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to speak basic English.
Able to work with diverse teams.
Basic computer and tablet usage.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
Complete service requests and follow company procedures.
Prepare vacant units for occupancy and market readiness.
Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
Maintain grounds and assist with snow removal and trash management.
On-call duties during scheduled off-hours.
