Job summary

Prime Residential in San Francisco is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain and prepare apartment homes for occupancy, respond to maintenance requests, and ensure safety and visual appeal across the community.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years in residential property maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to participate in on-call rotation; HVAC certification is preferred, and teamwork is essential on-site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential property maintenance experience (painting, appliance repair, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license for operating community vehicles and/or golf carts.
• Able to participate in the shared, mandatory on-call rotation.
• Multi-family housing experience is preferred.
• HVAC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance on appliances, building exteriors, doors, locks, electrical systems, flooring, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, pools, and safety equipment.
• Prepare and update reports, work orders, and trackers.
• Inspect and prepare vacated apartments for new residents, ensuring they meet market-ready standards.
• Perform routine fire and life/safety inspections and annual unit inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance and service requests through the facilities app.
• Respond to resident inquiries and service requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Ensure the community is free of unsafe conditions and address issues promptly.
• Be familiar with utility cut-offs and property layout maps.
• Keep the community grounds clean and report service needs.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials.
