Job summary

YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to diagnose, repair, and document a broad range of building maintenance across more than 20 properties. You will independently troubleshoot problems, complete work across multiple trades, and support preventative maintenance and inspections.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of hands-on facilities maintenance, apartment/property maintenance, construction, building trades, or closely related experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience independently performing repairs in at least five areas: plumbing, drywall repair and finishing, painting, carpentry, cabinetry, doors/locks/hardware, apartment/unit turns, basic electrical troubleshooting, general building repairs.
• Preventative maintenance of building or mechanical systems; ability to troubleshoot problems and determine repair solutions.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete and document maintenance work orders within established timeframes.
• Diagnose and repair multiple trades including plumbing, drywall, painting, carpentry, cabinetry, doors/locks, and basic electrical work.
• Perform apartment turns and prepare units for incoming residents.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems, identify causes, and determine appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of units, common areas, equipment, and building systems.
