Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations maintenance technician responsible for routine and high-level maintenance tasks and facility repairs. The role includes assisting with material handling equipment and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.

The position requires at least 2 years of facility maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to work night shifts and some weekends. Training on safety protocols is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must know single and three phase electric, AC/DC voltages.
• 2+ years' experience in facility maintenance/preventative equipment maintenance.
• Food Processing Equipment experience is a plus.
• Vacuum Packaging experience with RollStock and Repack machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and high-level maintenance duties and other assigned jobs.
• Assist with material handling equipment and facility repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose problems and repair machinery with parts as per manuals and diagrams.
• Set up and break-down of food processing equipment; assist with building maintenance repairs.
• Provide safety reporting and communicate issues to operations staff.
• Work night shifts and occasional weekends.
