Job summary

US1292 Buckhead Meat Midwest Inc.-Illinois Division, working with Sysco, seeks a Production Technician II to support our operations team. You will troubleshoot equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment across the facility with limited supervision.

This role participates in 5S and Lean activities, contributes to material handling improvements and line configurations, and learns industry maintenance practices to improve safety, uptime, and performance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience in a food processing environment and with USDA/FDA policies is preferred.
• Must provide own basic diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety policies and performs inspections and preventive maintenance on production and process equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic deficiencies; may include facility repairs.
• Learn and apply continuous improvement tools; participate in RCA/FMA and recommended fixes.
• Log work orders in CMMS and track performance metrics.
