Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician II - Day Shift for our Kent, Washington facility. You will perform skilled maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Advanced experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficient technical and systems experience, including CMM systems experience.
• Ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and resolve intermediate to complex issues around machines and equipment.
• Repair and recondition hydraulic/pneumatic systems and electrical equipment/components.
• Maintain, repair, and modify conventional equipment.
• Install plumbing, air, and electrical utilities necessary for machine operation.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Adhere to 5S standards, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain strong safety focus and adhere to safety guidelines.

Description

Quanexis looking for a Maintenance Technician II - Day Shift to join our team located in Kent, Washington.

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facilities in order to ensure optimal performance and functionality. This position requires a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with the ability to work every other weekend.

The hours for this position are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on a rotating schedule, working every other weekend. Click here to learn more about our manufacturing plant in Kent.

What Success Looks Like:

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and resolve intermediate to complex issues around machines and equipment

• Maintain, repair, and modify conventional equipment
• Install plumbing, air, and electrical utilities necessary for machine operation

• Install special functional and structural parts in devices
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Adhere to and complete work within the 5S standards, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain a strong safety focus with a willingness to adhere to safety guidelines

What you bring:

• 4+ years of experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Advanced experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Proficient technical and systems experience, including CMM systems experience
• Ability to read schematics

The targeted salary range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hour.
