Job summary

Quanex in Kent, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II on the day shift to keep production equipment running at peak efficiency. The role requires hands-on repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and the ability to diagnose complex problems on a rotating schedule with every other weekend.

You will work on plumbing, air, and power utilities, follow 5S and OSHA guidelines, and contribute to a safe, productive plant.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Advanced experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficient technical and systems experience, including CMM systems experience.
• Ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and resolve intermediate to complex issues around machines and equipment.
• Repair and recondition hydraulic/pneumatic systems (airlines, solenoids), as well as electrical equipment/components.
• Maintain, repair, and modify conventional equipment.
• Install plumbing, air, and electrical utilities necessary for machine operation.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Adhere to and complete work within the 5S standards, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a strong safety focus with a willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.

Description

Quanexis looking for a Maintenance Technician II - Day Shift to join our team located in Kent, Washington.

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facilities in order to ensure optimal performance and functionality. This position requires a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with the ability to work every other weekend.

What you bring:

The targeted salary range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hour.
