Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our on-site team in St. Cloud, Minnesota. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, from motors to conveyors, ensuring smooth production and advancing reliability and safety metrics.

You’ll contribute to continuous improvement, thrive in a hands-on environment, and support a safe workplace. Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour; Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm; overtime discussed during interview and based on needs.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical applications; knowledge of hand tools for repair.
• Excellent communication, computer and organizational skills.

• Lead and promote safety-first culture.
• Maintain, repair, and modify extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws.
• Repair and recondition hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.

You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. We're looking for a dependable team player who brings a positive attitude, thrives in a hands-on environment, supports others, and takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace. Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, starting wage varies based on your experience

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Will discuss further in interview, overtime may be at beginning or end of shift based on business needs and projects.

Your Credentials:

• High School education or equivalent required
• Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications, as well as experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.
• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, required
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
