Job summary

ATS is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Augusta, GA to perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance, identify root causes, and repair or replace defective parts. The role involves setting up machining operations, drilling, grinding, and possibly welding, while adhering to 5S and continuous improvement practices.

Candidates should have an Associate degree with a technical focus or equivalent experience, understand electrical/mechanical/control systems, and be able to

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Able to use basic and specialized tools as appropriate.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance, locating root causes of problems and repairing or replacing parts.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as needed.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards.
• Sets up and operates machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and may perform welding.
• Follows 5S and housekeeping standards; participates in CI activities.
