Job summary

AZEK Exteriors in Wilmington, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to keep production lines running and support TPM/6S initiatives. The role is on-site with daytime hours.

Salary is $22–$42 per hour depending on experience; a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered with $1,500 after 3 months and $1,500 after 6 months. 0+ years experience acceptable; strong troubleshooting and drawing-reading skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Advanced education and/or related-certification(s) are a plus.
• Certification & Licenses: TimberTech Training, TRAK program; 2-year Maintenance Cer­tification; welding and forklift certs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures production lines and equipment run at all times.
• Assist in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager and Line Leads.
• Complete work order requests as defined by Maintenance Management and Supervisors.
• Support 6S workplace organization and TPM production efficiency programs.
• Assist, coach, and train operators in daily preventative maintenance checks.
• Support preventative maintenance processes on the shift.
• Contribute to line commissioning after maintenance or process events.
• Participate in other plant projects as needed.
• Operate in a team-focused manner to add value.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision/management.

Job description

This position is for our Wilmington Location.

Pay Rate: $22-$42 an hour depending on experience level.

Hours: Monday through Friday 7AM to 3PM!

This position is eligible for a $3,000.00 Sign-On Bonus!

• $1,500.00 after 3 months
• $1,500.00 after 6 months

Core Responsibilities

• Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
• Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
• Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
• Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
• Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
• Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
• Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications

• Experience: 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I
• Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
• Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
• Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

Education Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
• Certifications & Licenses:
  • Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech\"s Training
  • Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
  • Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course
  • Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus
  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
