Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a maintenance technician for a 24/7 manufacturing environment. The role supports production lines, performs preventative maintenance, and assists in managing work orders to keep lines running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read electrical drawings, and collaborate with multiple teams. PLC logic, extrusion, and welding experience are a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; further education/certifications are a plus.
• Must have experience working with electrical, electronic, motor controller drives, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines and equipment to run at all times.
• Assist in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisors.
• Complete work order requests as defined by leadership.
• Support 6S and TPM programs for workplace organization and efficiency.
• Assist, coach, and train operators in daily preventive maintenance checks.
• Support preventive maintenance processes on the shift.
• Contribute to line commissioning after maintenance or process events.
• Participate in plant projects as needed.
• Operate with a team-focused, value-driven mindset.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision/management.

Job description

The hours of this position are Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday 11PM to 7AM.

Hourly Compensation Based on Experience: $30.50+ depending on experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
• Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
• Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
• Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
• Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
• Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
• Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications

• Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
• Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
• Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

Education Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus

Certifications & Licenses

• Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech's Training
• Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
• Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course
• Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus
• Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
