Job summary

Advocate Health in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support the Christ Medical Center facility. This full-time, second-shift role involves maintaining and repairing building systems, medical equipment, and related infrastructure to ensure safe operations.

You will use CMMS and building automation tools, follow safety standards, and coordinate with teams to handle emergencies and preventive maintenance. Requires a high school diploma and 2–4 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain patient care equipment such as beds and wheelchairs.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
• Respond to emergencies and perform preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Inspect fire doors and related hardware; perform zone maintenance rounds.
