Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Maintenance Worker II for the 2nd shift (Saturday-Wednesday: 3:30 p.m.–Midnight) in Housing and Residence Life in Atlanta, GA.

The role performs basic multi-craft maintenance, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building upkeep, coordinating with staff and contractors. A high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of related experience are required; driving is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
• Two to three years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic installation, repair, and replacement of components of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain buildings and inspect mechanical equipment and fixtures.
• Transport tools, equipment, and personnel to job sites.
• Obtain equipment and supplies to complete assignments.
• May coordinate contractor service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
