Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on production and building equipment. You will troubleshoot robotic, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, read blueprints and repair small outdoor power equipment.

The role requires strong communication across departments and commitment to safety. The position focuses on maintaining production lines, servicing equipment, and ensuring 5S compliance while supporting vendors

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, automation or product repair.
• Experience reading and working from blueprints and interpreting drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support and service of production lines within the facility.
• Mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of production line equipment.
• Seasonal external facility maintenance.
• Small engine repair.
• Reading and interpreting blue prints, drawings and building schematics.
• Miscellaneous facility maintenance as needed.
• Replacement of broken or outdated building mechanicals, lighting or bathroom fixtures.
• Email and phone conversations with vendors.

Following established process and procedures, the Maintenance Technician ll performs emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment while maintaining safety and communicating effectively. This position is responsible for daily problem solving and repair of robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or small outdoor power equipment associated with manufacturing and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and service of production lines within the facility
• Mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of production line equipment

Minimum Job Requirements

Preferred Job Requirements

• Experience reading and working from blueprints and interpreting advances drawings and schematics
• Demonstrated knowledge in OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO and NEC

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
