Job summary

Reynolds American is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Winston-Salem, NC to install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic control systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment.

You will troubleshoot process control systems, interpret schematics, and contribute to productivity improvements while ensuring equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field (or military equivalent).
  • 3+ years of electronics experience in high-speed manufacturing or process control environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to repair complex electronic circuits.
  • Solid understanding of electronic components, systems, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and industrial networks (Profibus, ControlNet, Ethernet).
  • Diagnose and repair motor drive systems, including variable frequency and DC drives.
  • Install and maintain robotics and high-speed camera-based quality control equipment.
  • Interpret engineering schematics, diagrams, and vendor documentation.
  • Use diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, VOM) to analyze and resolve complex electrical issues.

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician II in Winston-Salem, NC

We are looking for someone who will install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic control systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot and perform corrective/preventive maintenance on process control systems and equipment failures and contribute to productivity and technology improvement projects while ensuring equipment reliability and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Support and maintain PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and industrial communication networks (Profibus, ControlNet, Ethernet)
