Pro-Active Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and manufacturing equipment. The role supports SMT machinery such as paste printers, pick-and-place systems, AOI and reflow ovens, interpreting diagrams and service manuals to complete repairs.

Under limited supervision, you will log maintenance in QT9, manage critical spares, and travel to customer sites as needed for deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent with 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Electro-Mechanical & Engineering Foundations.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on buildings and machines and log preventive maintenance in QT9.
• Notify management of necessary repairs outside routine maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment (printers, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, AOI, soldering).
• Read diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to support repairs.
• Maintain tools and repair equipment; ensure area is clean.

Pro-Active Engineering has an opening for aMaintenance Technician II. This position, under limited supervision, performs general building upkeep, equipment inspections, repairs and improvements to our facility.

Essential Functions

1. Perform routine maintenance as assigned, including on building interior/exterior and machines, then logging preventative maintenance checks into the asset management software (QT9).

2. Notify management of necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.

3. Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, and selective soldering equipment.

4. Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to support repair and maintenance efforts.

5. Maintain tools and repair equipment in optimum working condition.

6. Develop and Maintain Critical Spares Inventory to prevent stock outs causing extended downtime

8. Drive to customer sites as needed to make deliveries.

9. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 Years of relevant building or equipment maintenance experience OR
• Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Electro-Mechanical & Engineering Foundations
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and machine control software is a plus.
