Join Technetics Group as a Maintenance Technician II and help keep our manufacturing operations safe, reliable, and ready to deliver. In this hands‑on role, you will use your multi‑craft maintenance experience to restore equipment, reduce downtime, and strengthen equipment reliability across the site.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician II independently performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and utilities. This role diagnoses and resolves moderate-to-high‑complexity mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; selects effective repair methods within established protocols; documents work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); and supports continuous improvement and root‑cause activities.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, including equipment inspections, adjustments, and repairs, on production equipment, facilities, utilities, and related support systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures, including intermittent or multi‑system issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with urgency and restore equipment to service safely and efficiently.
• Select maintenance methods and repair techniques within established practices, recognizing when additional support or escalation is required.
• Document maintenance work accurately in the CMMS, including repair actions, parts used, equipment status, and known root‑cause information.
• Identify and communicate equipment risks, spare parts needs, reliability concerns, and improvement opportunities before failures occur.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and support preventive maintenance improvements, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate maintenance work with production, engineering, quality, safety, contractors, vendors, and other internal partners.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modifications to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Provide guidance or training to maintenance technicians or less experienced colleagues as business needs require.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment and comply with Lockout/Tagout, PPE, environmental, and other applicable requirements.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to independently manage moderate-to-high‑complexity maintenance tasks and repairs within established protocols.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic tools, and industrial maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and related documentation.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Ability to communicate equipment condition, repair status, risk, and recommended next steps clearly and professionally.
• Ability to prioritize assigned work, document maintenance activity accurately, and follow tasks through completion with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Multi‑craft manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) and exposure to programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Experience with HVAC, facility utilities, compressed air systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, or material‑handling equipment.
• Experience using a CMMS for work‑order documentation and maintenance history.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis, reliability‑centered maintenance, preventive maintenance optimization, or spare‑parts recommendations.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work onsite and spend regular time on or around the production floor.
• Stand, walk, sit, perform computer work, bend, reach, kneel, climb, and complete other physical movements throughout the workday, including extended periods as needed.
• Use tools, machinery, lifts, ladders, platforms, forklifts, cranes, and other approved equipment or access methods to reach and service equipment.
• Work safely around energized equipment, rotating equipment, compressed air, process equipment, and industrial utilities.
• Work in manufacturing conditions that may include noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, and required PPE or controlled work environments.
• Perform close visual work, detailed screen work, and fine‑motor tasks when inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds, with team‑lift or mechanical‑assistance practices used as required.
• Respond to equipment failures throughout the facility and work overtime when authorized and needed to support operations.
