Under general supervision, maintain and repair lab equipment and facilities, including diagnosing and rebuilding machinery, performing scheduled and emergency maintenance, and troubleshooting automation equipment. Additionally, assist with process improvement projects and general facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild Surfacing, Finishing, and AR Coating equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild specialized laboratory machinery
• Perform online equipment repairs
• Conduct machinery preventive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance support as needed
• Maintain detailed equipment maintenance records
• Assist with facility and departmental process improvement projects
• Troubleshoot computer-controlled automation equipment
• Perform building infrastructure maintenance, including plumbing, painting, and general upkeep

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in factory equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of fluid power, mechanical, and thermal systems
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and motor control systems; ability to read schematics
• Manage service requests using software ticket systems (e.g., FIXX-CMMS)
• Ability to troubleshoot automation control computers, PLCs, and networks
• Proficiency with MS Office and office computer systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings with a customer-centric approach
• Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to maintenance
• Physical ability to lift 40-50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
