The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support safety, productivity, and continuous improvement efforts.

The position offers 1st shift (5am-4:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:30pm-2am), with pay at $30/hour and potential increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of machining experience with increasing complexity.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems, PLCs, and Ladder Logic.
• Read manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; support Lean and 5S initiatives.

CIS is now recruiting both a first and second shift maintenance technician for a manufacturing plant in Northeast Columbia, SC. This is a rare and excellent opportunity to settle into a career with a company that truly values their employees and their work.
Position Summary theMaintenanceTechnician II installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productivemaintenancesystems and processes to support the achievement of thebusinesses goals and objectives.
Shift

• 1st Shift: 5am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday
• 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 2am, Monday - Thursday

Pay

• $30/hour, potentially more depending on experience.
• Paid weekly via direct deposit or company issued pay card.

Job Duties

• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduledmaintenancerepairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Performs mechanical skills including but limited to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, Programmable Logic Controllersand Ladder Logic. Troubleshoots and repairs production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics, electrical drawings and work orders to perform requiredmaintenanceand service.
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments.
• Performs regular preventivemaintenanceon machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work area.
• Engages in activities that create a continuous improvement environment: sustains lean processes, suggests areas of improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and safety, and actively supports lean, 5S, and value stream management initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Primary Experience Requirements

Three years of machining experience with increasing complexity and responsibility is required.

Allemployees are expected to demonstrate accountability, collaboration, communication, customer focus, and innovation. Additional requirements of this position include:

• Ability to interpret prints and schematics.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, PLCs, and Ladder Logic.
• Ability to detect differences in the color of wires in order to perform necessary machine and facilitymaintenance.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to pass a 10-panel urinedrug screen
• Ability to pass a nationwide criminal background check
