Job summary

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of our guests and team members. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the property’s facilities, systems, and equipment with a proactive approach to preserve a safe and welcoming environment.

Previous experience in maintenance is required; electrical and plumbing skills are essential, as is the ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a Maintenance role required.
Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently.
Must have electrical, plumbing and basic maintenance skills.
Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines.
Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
Highly responsible & reliable.

Responsibilities

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Ensure the overall maintenance of the facility
Respond to guest room calls for general maintenance issues
Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
Light plumbing, electrical, guest door lock repair
Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
Maintain all actions in a Daily Activity Maintenance logs
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the property’s facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure a safe and fully functional environment for our guests. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactive approach are essential in preserving a safe, efficient, and welcoming property experience.

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications not required but helpful
Must have electrical, plumbing and basic maintenance skills
Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently

Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
