Job summary

Casa de las Campanas is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our senior living community in Rancho Bernardo. The role requires basic maintenance across trades, with emphasis on mechanical and plumbing preventative tasks.

You will join a collaborative team with a schedule 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and a starting pay of $20.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and certification. A California driver's license and blueprints reading ability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience in commercial maintenance.
• Knowledge of Mechanical equipment and HVAC systems.
• Intermediate experience in the various trades required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled preventative maintenance in mechanical and plumbing.
• Performs skilled building and equipment repairs.
• Performs basic skilled maintenance duties in drywall, carpentry, electrical, locksmith, low voltage (fire, security), and appliance repair.
• Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
• Prioritizes all work in the order set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participates in all drills and in-service meetings, as assigned.
• Participates in the 24-hour on-call program, including occasional weekend and night work.
• Participates in emergency drills and acts as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Technician II must be able to perform basic maintenance in most trades and demonstrate specialized skill in mechanical and plumbing preventative maintenance. This is a journey-level position.
