Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to focus on electrical systems, ensuring equipment reliability and availability through proactive maintenance and testing.

The role includes weekend shifts, with training on the 1st shift before moving to weekend work. Travel to support installations may be required, and accurate maintenance records will be kept.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience repairing down equipment and performing preventative maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance.
  • Test equipment for performance and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs.
  • Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training on operation and maintenance.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Travel as needed to support equipment buy-offs and installations.
  • Be available to work weekends and overtime as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

Hours: Weekend shifts available

1st Weekend 6:00am-6:00pm Fri-Sun

2nd Weekend 6:00pm - 6:00am Fri-Sun

This position will train on 1st shift weekday before moving to weekend shift.

The Maintenance Technician will focus on electrical systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the maintainability, reliability, and availability of our equipment through proactive maintenance and testing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Test equipment for performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Travel as needed to support equipment buy-offs and installations.
  • Be available to work weekends and overtime as required to support operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

Education and Experience
  • 3 to 5 years' experience dealing with repairing down equipment, preventative maintenance tasks, electrical experience preferred
