Job summary

Neogen Corporation is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support our on-site operations in Michigan. The role starts with weekday training before transitioning to weekend shifts, offering hands-on maintenance, testing, and repairs of industrial equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, replace faulty components, and maintain detailed records while traveling as needed for equipment buy-offs and installations.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience dealing with repairing down equipment and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Test equipment for performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Travel as needed to support equipment buy-offs and installations.
• Be available to work weekends and overtime as required to support operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

1st Weekend 6:00am-6:00pm Fri-Sun

2nd Weekend 6:00pm - 6:00am Fri-Sun

This position will train on 1st shift weekday before moving to weekend shift.
