Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability and uptime. You will perform preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs, and provide technical support to staff in a hands-on, unsupervised role.

The position requires 3–5 years of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Weekend/overtime availability and a proactive cost-reduction mindset are valued as part of supporting our operations.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years' experience repairing down equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Electrical experience preferred for site reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Test equipment for performance and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs.
  • Replace faulty electrical components and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on operation and maintenance.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Work weekends/overtime as required to support operations.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.

Neogen is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am or Tuesday-Friday 4:00pm-2:30am

The Maintenance Technician will focus on electrical systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the maintainability, reliability, and availability of our equipment through proactive maintenance and testing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

  • Test equipment for performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.

  • Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment.

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Be available to work weekends and overtime as required to support operational needs.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

  • Initiative to contribute ideas and actions to cut costs and increase production.

  • Must be "hands on" and be able to work unsupervised.

Education and Experience
