Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diversified duties across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and prevent downtime with strong adherence to safety and GMP standards.

Responsibilities include reading manuals, diagnosing issues, performing adjustments, and coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize disruption while maintaining accurate documentation and complying with all quality policies.

Qualifications

• Completing or pursuing a 2-year trades degree or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to read/write English.
• Communicate with Maintenance Manager and teams.
• Attention to detail and flexible problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance per safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, test, and adjust as needed.
• Detect faulty operations and report to Maintenance Manager.
• Use MS Office and work order systems (EAM).
• Maintain GMP compliance in all tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of machines, equipment and plant facilities. This includes scheduled, unscheduled or emergency repairs. Perform regular preventive maintenance which also includes maintaining supporting documentation for the PM’s.

2nd Shift: 2:50PM to 11:00PM - Monday through Friday + Every Other Weekend

3rd Shift: 10:50PM to 7:00AM - Sunday through Thursday + Every Other Weekend

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, as well as work order systems. (EAM)
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Technician Level II

Experience with basic electrical systems (starters fuses, contacts, relays) experience with compressors systems, air cylinders, sensors, hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, pressure cylinders). Building maintenance (small installations, light fixtures, plumbing, boilers).

Technician Level III

Experience with advanced electrical (resolving electrical issues, reading and writing electrical diagrams, reading mechanical blueprints, building small panels. basic PLC’s(check inputs, outputs, understand ladder diagrams, basic drive programming (Powerflex 525) basic machining, fabricating, welding. Understand thermocouple operation & tuning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Able to communicate and take direction from Maintenance Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Attention to detail.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, three phase motor controls. Troubleshoot control systems inputs & outputs.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
• Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• May be required to work weekend and night hours to fill in as needed.
• Ability to work in high temperatures up to 120 degrees for short periods of time.
