Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on EAS assets, facility equipment, and building systems in a Browns Summit, NC environment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, lighting, door hardware, and facility-related issues with minimal supervision, support repairs to fabrication and welding equipment, and participate in small installations and improvements. Strong safety and log-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in English or Spanish.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of commercial, industrial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade school or technical training in a maintenance field preferred.
• Experience with fabrication machinery, robotic machinery, or HVAC systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on EAS assets, facility equipment, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair common mechanical, plumbing, lighting, door, hardware, and facility-related issues with minimal supervision.
• Support repairs to fabrication equipment, welding equipment, air systems, pumps, motors, and other production support equipment within training and qualifications.
• Complete small installations, modifications, and facility improvement assignments.
• Read and follow equipment manuals, preventative maintenance procedures, basic drawings, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Prioritize assigned work orders and communicate expected completion dates, delays, and material needs.
• Assist with contractor coordination and verify assigned work areas are ready and safe for outside vendors.
• Train and mentor Maintenance Technician I employees in safe work practices and routine maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
• Identify recurring failures and recommend practical corrective actions or process improvements.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and elevate complex or high-risk conditions as appropriate.
• Follow all EAS safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Other duties may be added as needed by supervision.

Requirements

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
• High School Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Three or more years of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade school, apprenticeship, or technical training in a maintenance-related field preferred.
• Experience in the operation and repair of one or more of the following is considered a plus:
• Fabrication machinery
• Robotic machinery
• Painting systems
• Welding machines and leads
• Refrigeration / HVAC
• Electrical / Control systems
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
