Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and material-handling equipment on the factory floor. You will perform start-ups, run daily operations, handle changeovers, and complete preventative maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical knowledge, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Current working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricity.
• Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and gauges/measurements.
• Hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience.
• Experience with PLCs and Honeywell process controls a plus.
• Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience a plus.
• Ability to communicate with operators and maintenance staff to explain mechanical causes.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Properly troubleshoot, adjust and repair all production and material-handling equipment.
• Perform tasks for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-overs and shut-downs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production machines, systems, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Record preventative maintenance tasks accurately.
• Complete work orders as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls on the production floor.
• Assist in installation of new machinery.
• Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-orders.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area; maintain tools properly.

Job description

• Properly troubleshoot, adjust and repair all production and material-handling equipment


• Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs


• Perform preventative maintenance on and/or repair production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatics equipment.


• Troubleshoot and repair various electrical and mechanical systems


• Properly record preventative maintenance tasks


• Complete work orders as required


• Timely respond to maintenance calls on the production floor


• Assist in providing installation of new machinery


• Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-order to maintenance lead


• Maintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain tools

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment


• Current working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricity


• Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics


• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.


• Possesses hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience


• Experience with programmable controllers (PLC's) and Honeywell process controls a plus


• Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plus


• Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes
