Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to inspect, maintain, repair and install mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment at plant and pump stations. You will operate centrifuge equipment, drive a 10-ton dump truck, and perform routine maintenance with minimal supervision.

The role includes learning mechanical troubleshooting, equipment disassembly/reassembly, and basic facility repairs while participating in on-call rotations and safety programs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months to two years of related experience.
• Experience with power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
• Ability to read specifications, blueprints and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate centrifuge and drive 10 ton dump truck and sewer jet truck; inspect and repair assets.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems; dismantle and reassemble equipment for repairs.
• Perform facility maintenance including light repairs and general upkeep.
• Support on-call rotation for water and wastewater plants.
• Estimate time and material costs for projects; assist in other areas as needed.
