Job summary

Dal-Tile in Sunnyvale, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to operate and repair machines used in tile production. You will make adjustments for proper operation and perform electrical and mechanical duties. This role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of electrical code, and at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.

• Informs supervisor of equipment status and issues.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our TEAM! As the Maintenance Technician we need someone who can make adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.

Primary Objective

• Operates and performs various electrical and mechanical duties on machines and equipment used in the production of tile.

Major Function and Scope

• Examines machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
• Performs electrical repairs and installations.
• Performs welding and plumbing repairs.
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
• Follows ISO operating procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code. Formal PLC training preferred.
• 1-year or more industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Routinely working at a height that requires fall protection.
