Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in the United States. The role involves adjusting machines and equipment for proper operation, with a 1st shift from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday.

The technician will perform mechanical duties, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance on mixing equipment, presses, and kilns used in our manufacturing processes. Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• 3+ years industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of Servomotors and drive units.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, or repairs equipment for generation, distribution, or utilization of manufacturing equipment.
• Locates and diagnoses issues with equipment using blueprints, drawings, layouts or specs.
• Examines machines to diagnose the source of trouble.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Performs minor electrical repairs and installations.
• Operates pipe cutting and/or pipe bending equipment.
• Maintains historical service records on powered industrial trucks.
• Performs light welding and plumbing repairs.
• Suggests ideas to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our TEAM! As a Maintenance Technician, we need someone who can make adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation. This is a 1st shift position working Monday to Thursday from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The Maintenance Technician performs complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical troubleshooting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mixing equipment, presses, and kilns used in our manufacturing processes.

Major Function and Scope

• Installs, maintains, or repairs equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of manufacturing equipment.
• Locates and diagnoses issues with equipment working from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.
• Examines machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Performs minor electrical repairs and installations.
• Operates pipe cutting and/or pipe bending equipment.
• Maintains historical service records on powered industrial trucks.
• Performs light welding and plumbing repairs.
• Continuously reviews their respective area for ideas and thoughts that will drive productivity and reduce costs within the organization and be able to professionally speak to their solution for improvement.
• Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience And Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• 3 or more years industrial electro- mechanical maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of Servomotors and drive units.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

Competencies

Routinely working at a height that requires fall protection.
