Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hands-on laborer to support sewer and concrete repairs, water-related maintenance, and facility upkeep. Work under supervision performing a range of manual tasks, including operating pumps and mechanical equipment, inspecting manholes and pipes, and maintaining plant facilities.

You will follow safety rules, participate in trainings, and perform general grounds and building maintenance while assisting other teams as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to follow safety rules and participate in safety training.
• Able to operate pumps, compressors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in safety training activities.
• Set up and operate pumps, compressors and other mechanical equipment.
• Inspect and repair manholes, sewers, tanks and related facilities.
• Clean pump stations, plants and tanks as part of maintenance.
• Assist in inspection of tunnels, gates and pump stations; report issues.
• Perform general maintenance of facilities and grounds.
• Set up rooms for functions and assist other workgroups as needed.
• Locate, move and deliver parts for other teams.
• Observe and report dangerous conditions to supervisor.
