Job summary

Pillar Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist with upkeep of interior and exterior buildings and surrounding property. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, timely work orders, and collaborative safety practices.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic painting skills, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, with own hand tools and strong customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to work flexible schedule and attend regularly.
• Must have own hand tools and basic painting ability.
• Prior experience in maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartments and common areas with preventative maintenance.
• Complete written work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with plumbing tasks (sinks, toilets, bathtubs).
• Assist with minor electrical work in units and common areas.
• Paint apartments and major common areas.
• Help train and follow safety procedures.
• Respond to community emergencies as requested.
• Travel between local properties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
