Responsibilities

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance and routine inspections.

• Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Sandblast, clean, and prepare parts and equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, orderly condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Learn new maintenance skills through hands-on training and guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $24.01 to $27.00 per hour, plus shift premium where applicable

The Opportunity

Tru Vue is hiring multiple Maintenance Technician I team members in Faribault, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical knowledge or hands on experience who wants to build their skills and grow into a career in industrial maintenance.

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will support the maintenance team with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and general maintenance tasks while learning from experienced technicians.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM - Pay - $24.01 to $27.00/hr

2nd Shift: Monday -Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM - Pay - $24.01 to $27.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift premium

3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM - Pay - $24.01 to $27.00/hr + $1.50/hour shift premium

What You'll Do

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians with preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
• Support equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Sandblast, clean, and prepare parts and equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Learn new maintenance skills and techniques through hands on training and direction from experienced technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge or hands on experience preferred.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Good attention to detail.
• Commitment to working safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, construction, or other hands on mechanical experience is a plus.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment and regularly interacts with employees throughout the plant. The role involves working around moving mechanical equipment and machinery. The production environment can be loud, and appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
