Job summary

JLL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support Amazon Operations facilities in Newark, CA. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE), troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and document all work to ensure safety and reliability.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience with automated conveyors, fabrication skills, and familiarity with CMMS and Linux CLI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years repair of material handling equipment.
• 2+ years predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 1+ years metal and wood fabrication.
• 1+ years blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ year knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• PM-based maintenance experience.
• Ability to use OEE/Up Time run metrics for prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours.
