Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I–II in Saginaw, MI to perform repair and preventive maintenance on heavy industrial equipment. You will diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems, test machinery, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with maintenance and production teams.

The role requires reading schematics, using precision measuring tools, and following lockout procedures to protect personnel. Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating large industrial equipment preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory protocols relevant to daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including gas, diesel and mobile equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic systems and perform safety compliance inspections.
• Assist in housekeeping and safety efforts; order parts for repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance mechanics, production, and vendors to maintain workflow.
• Read precision measuring instruments and interpret blueprints/schematics.
