Job summary

Schwan's Company in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a Maintenance Technician I / HVAC-Boiler I for night shift to maintain production equipment in a food manufacturing setting. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, ovens, and packaging machines, ensuring safe, efficient operations and compliance with food safety rules.

The role offers a starting hourly rate of $33.50 with a $2.00 night shift differential, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.

Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 6:00pm-6:30am
