Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician I at our plant in Forsyth, GA. You will support machinery performance and maintenance reliability, with hands-on, on-the-job training and opportunities for additional certifications. Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00am–5:00pm.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–3 years in industrial maintenance; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. You will work safely with equipment, perform inspections, troubleshooting, and adapt to growth

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and equivalent experience.
0 - 3 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent Military Experience.
Beginner proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging.
Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections.
Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
May assist in managing the machines’ performance by doing equipment set up and production changeovers.
Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports.
Follow safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production meets the standards.
