Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift in a food manufacturing environment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to keep lines running, with an emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree in maintenance trade preferred.
• 0–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines).
• Follow food safety rules and use proper cleaning procedures and materials.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory for repairs and upgrades.
• Work safely and follow OSHA regulations and company rules.
