Job summary

The Swan Food Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift in a food manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to keep lines running smoothly while adhering to food safety rules and OSHA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and up to 2 years in maintenance, with the ability to read safety documents and complete work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree in a maintenance trade preferred.
• 0-2 years related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smoothly.
• Follow food safety rules in production areas and use proper cleaning procedures and food-grade materials.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability for fixes or upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow OSHA regulations.
