Job summary

The City of Bridgeport seeks a full-time maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled and skilled labor in water distribution and sewage collection, and to operate city equipment and perform related tasks.

Under supervision, you will maintain streets and utilities, complete required paperwork, and respond to emergencies in varied outdoor conditions. A high school diploma or GED and a Texas driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water distribution and sewage collection systems.
• Operate city trucks and maintenance equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Respond to emergencies as required.
