Job summary

Good Shepherd Manor-AH is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to support the facility's maintenance, operation, and safety. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical work, painting, minor carpentry, and equipment repairs to keep resident areas well-maintained.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a pay range of $23.18–$28.00 per hour. Duties cover inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance planning, and coordination with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests electrical equipment, refrigeration units, boilers, and appliances and performs repairs.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of the facility.
• Responds to work orders for apartments and common areas and coordinates with vendors as needed.
• Responds to emergency cleanup assignments and on-call maintenance requests.
• Inspects emergency equipment such as fire alarms and sprinklers.

Education

High school education preferred
